Day 1: The Lance Competition

Along with the team Section Event, Day 1 of the WC Qualifying Tournament for Tent Pegging – Oman 2026, Group C also included the individual Lance Competition, one of tent pegging's main events, played against 6cm and 4cm pegs. On the first day, riders showed speed, accuracy and skill as they competed for the top spots.

Day 1 Lance Competition Results

🥇 Salman Zare Ghrshlaghi — Iran 🇮🇷
🥈 Wajahat Ullah — Pakistan 🇵🇰
🥉 Ibrahim Jasimal Hammadi — Qatar 🇶🇦

Three nations, three strong performances, and an exciting start to the road to the Tent Pegging World Cup.

A Close Group C

The individual Lance result looks different from the team Section Event, where Pakistan won first place. This shows that Group C's seven nations — Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, the United Kingdom, the United States, Uzbekistan and Iran — are closely matched across events. The tournament continues through 20th September in Muscat.

Follow the Journey

Neza will continue covering individual and team results from Group C as the qualifier moves through sword, rings-and-pegs, and relay competition over the coming days.
