Pakistan Placed in a New Group

Pakistan's road to the 5th ITPF Tent Pegging World Cup in Jordan has a new step: the national team has been placed in Group C of the World Cup Qualifying Tournament, to be held in Muscat, Oman, organized together by the International Tent Pegging Federation (ITPF) and the Oman Equestrian & Racing Federation (OERFOM).

The announcement, shared by both federations, confirms Pakistan as one of six nations competing for a place in Jordan 2026.

Six Nations, One Group

Group C includes teams from around the world:

United States of America
State of Qatar
Sultanate of Oman (host nation)
Islamic Republic of Pakistan
Republic of Uzbekistan
Islamic Republic of Iran

These nations come from the Gulf, Central Asia, South Asia, and North America. This shows how far tent pegging has grown beyond South Asia and the Middle East.

The Venue: Al Wattayah, Muscat

The tournament will be held at the Cavalry Police Command grounds in Al Wattayah, Muscat. This venue has hosted many of Oman's equestrian and tent pegging events before. ITPF's own headquarters are also based in Muscat.

The Road to Jordan

Teams are qualifying for the 5th Tent Pegging World Cup through several regional groups around the world. Egypt and Yemen were the first nations to qualify, followed by Saudi Arabia and India through a separate group. Group C in Muscat is the next round in this process. A strong finish here would bring Pakistan closer to a place in Jordan, just as it did for the other groups.

What's at Stake for Pakistan

Pakistan enters this qualifier after a strong performance at the Pakistan International Tent Pegging Championship 2025, where the team finished first among nine nations. Playing against strong teams like the USA, Qatar, and host nation Oman will be a real test for Pakistan, with a place in Jordan at stake.

Neza will continue following Pakistan's World Cup qualification as the Group C tournament gets closer.
